I have a quesiton in 9.1 regarding the way stock which has been Goods Receipted is automatically allocated within the Pick & Pack Manager screen to the oldest dated Sales Order.
Is there a way to avoid this? The reason I ask is that there may be a very rare circumstance where a customer who raised an order more recently has requested delivery of their order first, so in order to priortise this and based upon low availability of a particular item, we would need to appease them and fulfill their order first.
At present in a test system, I see that if the system initially reported there was no stock for an item, my colleagues in the warehouse then find we do actually have one available and so post a good receipt for this item, SAP automatically assigns thus under the 'To Release' column within the Pick & Pack manager which could often be frustrating.
Any help or advice would be greatly received.
