Hi Steve,
CR 8.5 cannot be on the same PC with any newer version, as of CR 9 they can be. Except CR 2011, 2013 and 2016 are basically the same version so they can't either.
Go to the EStore and purchase a new copy. I don't believe you can upgrade now...
