Hi,
You can check if for the field there is a check table in table DD03L.
If not you can check if there is a dictionary search help assigned to that field in the table using the table DD35L.
If not you can check if within the data element there is a search help assignet to it using the table DD04L.
If not you can check if the data element have a domain in this case use also the table DD04L to get the domain name and then table DD07T to get the values. (May be you can use directly the view DDVAL)
If the domain have a value table you can check the table DD01L to get the table name in field ENTITYTAB.
